g1 alignment
Im trying to align my front end and im having trouble. I tried to align it with the front wheels off and on jack stands. Is this why im having issues. Do wheels need to be on and on the ground? Any tips or easier ways to align it?

Re: g1 alignment
You have to put the cart on the ground to measure where you need the adjustment to be. Then jack the cart up and make your adjustments. Put it back on the ground and recheck it. Adjust again as needed.
Is it the toe that is out of adjustment, or is it the camber? |

Re: g1 alignment
Toe is easily adjusted by increasing the length of the tie rods. I usually set them up off the cart and get the lengths exact and then adjust them on the cart. I use a piece of tape and mark the front and rear centerline of the the tires. Then measure from center to center and make the rear measurement just a bit longer that the front. Test drive and adjust as needed.

Re: g1 alignment
Try this.Drive a nail thru a board, turn it over. Now you have a Scriber.Jack up the cart, choose a spot on the tire, spin it while lightly scribing a line on the tire. Then do the same on the other tire. Now you have a consistent mark on both tires.Set the cart down, bounce it a few times to settle the suspension, then measure ahead and behind the axle,as close to axle-height as possible. You want 0 to 1/8" Toe-In(front narrower than rear).Make sure your steering is centered before you start(turn it full one way, then count turns to full opposite, then split the difference).Hope this helps.
