G9 Changed motor mounts-found another prob.
I changed out my motor mounts tonight. While removing the front mount under the tension cable. The wrench was on the top nut and the other end hit against the frame. I then observed an electrical arc from the wrench to the frame. WHY? There is no grounds added on this cart. Everything seems to be operating good, except I dont think the generator is charging. Can anybody help me. Why the arc? Where to start checking the generator?

I would start by checking all of the wiring and connections. Look for bare wires.

Check the red and green wire coming off the side of the starter/generator for bad connection or bare wire.

Have not had much time lately to check the wiring. I will check it all for bare wire and hopefully find a bare wire. That will make everything much easier.
New Guy where did you get the fender flares on the cart in your avatar. I have searched everywhere for some G9 fender flares and cant seem to find them. |

Thanks for the help. You did an excellent job installing them. I guess you used small nuts and bolts to hold them on? Thanks for the link and picture also. Your cart looks excellent (clean and simple). Ill try and get some pics posted of mine.

Thanks, I used short self tapping screws right into the body.
