Default Years G-1 Made

I would like to know how many years that Yamaha made the G-1 2-cycle golf cart. I know they started in 1979, but would like to know when the last year was. the reason for this question is so I can find a used G-1 for parts for my 1981 G-1. Thanks again HerbB2u

Smile Re: Years G-1 Made

Thanks again JB- I have a couple of more questions- why no 1987 or 1988? and will all these years motors fit my 1981 G-1 if I decide to do a transplant. I am a retired mechanic and i appreciate your help very much, I have never worked on any 2-cycles before.
