Default Might need to rebuild G2 golf cart

Well this was the first trip I took with my Golf Cart and for the first 4 days it ran assume then today the power started to slack off. So when we get back to camp I look and there is a rip in the air filter and now there is dirt in the Carb. So if I need to rebuild it where can I get the best Prices on parts,
Thanks
Nick

I would get a new air filter, clean the carb and run Sea Foam through the engine. I have used this on allot of small engines and it will clean them out good if they dirt or debris in them.

Remember start small and work your way up. No need to rebuild if it just needs to be cleaned.

I agree. New air filter and couple cans of carb cleaner should do the trick. Pull the bowl off the carb and spray out everything, inside and out (10 mm nut).

Undefeated!! 9-0!!

I have to agree about the Sea Foam, it works great. Still, you must pull the bowl and clean out the dirt first chance you get. The Sea Foam will get you through the w/e or vacation. Defer the maintenance till you get back home.

Well I got home to day so I can start to pull it apart. What exactly is the Sea foam treatment? and this will work even if I feel that there is a lack of Power?

Make sure you have only 1 quart of oil in it. Some of the dip sticks were mis-marked from the factory. If it's running good I wouldn't worry about it until it really starts using oil.

Well unfortunately its not getting better. The engine still runs great but it smokes a lot now and is using a lot more oil then before. What exactly do I need to do to repair it and get it back it to normal because the prime time that I will be using the cart is coming up and I want it working perfect for that,
Thanks
Nick
