Default Windshield

Hello everybody, just got my windshield on my g1, the plastic that holds the windshield on the frame kept slipping down on the frame , so i used some clear silicon on it so it would not move, and i got a little on the glass, i scrapped it off carefulley but it got a little hazy and scrach up, what is a good cleaner for plexi glass? And to remove scrachs? Thanks.

I'm not sure how to clean that except for possibly something that won't damage the surface and some elbow grease. A lot of solvents and cleaners will damage the surface. As far as the scratches, if they are fine enough, you may be able to sand them with some really fine sandpaper like 1000 to 2000 grit and polish with jewelers rouge. Or possibly one of those headlight restoration kits for cars may work, I would look into that.

The best stuff I've found for cleaning windshields is Novus Plastic Polish. I use it on our motorcycle windshields. It comes in three grades and can be found at most motorcycle shops. Won't harm the plexiglass. Many window cleaners, like windex, have ammonia and other solvents in them and that will react to most plastics causing them to cloud up.
