i just got a jakes power spring got every thing apart no problem,does it replace the old one if so why does'nt it fit what am l doing wrong

Do you mean is seems too long?? You need to compress the spring to get it to fit. I did mine on a vise and tied it with wire. Then clipped the wire when all was on. A spring compressor would be the best tool to use.

no its to wide it doesn't fit into the holder where the old spring was
