Default lookin 4 used g2 input shaft and tips installing

i have a g2 yamaha gas and the slot where the wood-ruff key goes is wallered out badly. i can get a new shaft 200 but i really would like not to spend that much in case i mess up the transmission. ive worked on many club car and ezgo transmissions but never any old school yamaha. anything will help used shaft used rearend tips tricks
