Default Bending PVC for wire chase

I was running some wires for some lights and things and I had seen on BGW some guys using pipe for a wire chase. I though about bending some PVC to follow the frame rail a little better. Just thought I would share this for all the custom work going on around here.

I just used a heat gun, the pipe will get kinda like rubber, then I just put it up next to the frame to follow the curves. You can heat up about 5 inches or so if needed. I have seen electricians do this and they plug the ends to keep the pipe from kinking. It really doesn't get that hot so I just pinched it with my fingers (with some jersey gloves on) to keep it from getting flat.

Filling your pipe with dry sand will keep it from kinking too!

cpvc works great to bend into a J and screw it to a shop wall to hang electrical cords, rope, etc.

Great idea. I did the loom and a boat load of wire ties. This looks much cleaner and better protected for sure. Nice.

Great idea. I made some utility trailers and it was so easy to weld conduit to the bottom of trailer for wires, yet rarely see it done.
