Default Primary sheave

Hello, im installing my rebuilt 81 g1 engine i bought the 2 orings that go on the primary sheave and they dont like fit anywhere on the shaft? Do they just slide on the shaft as you drive it? I dont see a reason to have them maybe for dirt? The part num is #93210-27458 thanks, that would help if someone knows about these, i just bought new both.

I believe they are traped between the sheave, spring seat to prevent dirt water from entering.

Just finished removing my primary and that fixed sheave was a pain. Followed a tip I got on the internet and laid the engine on its side and poured a little water in the crank end as water will not compress. Put teflon tape on the clutch tool and ran it in till it would go no more. I waited a few minutes and just tapped the back of the sheave and off it came. Amazing what hydraulic pressure will do.
