G14 Gas Replacing High Gears with Stock
I am new to golf carts bought my first one last year. Somebody had already put in the high gear. I like the speed but I use it at the race track to pull cars around so I need more low end.
got 2 problems right now.. 1) I can't get the the bar shift out of the transaxle so I can get the rest of the gears out (part 44 on attachment) 2) how do the axles come out? I have removed the hub and 1 snap ring on each side Many Thanks! Scott |

I don't have the book on those, but most all axles either bolt the bearing at the brake back plate or have a pin/clips in the diff carrier to keep them in.
Make sure you work the clutches, that will help pulling power more than anything. |

Thanks for the info!! I will get a better spring for the secondary but its still too fast. It will run 30 mph. My kids like to ride it around and I think its just too fast. I use it to pull their little race cars around and trying to go slow when I need to is really hard in this cart.

KENNETHC I sent you a PM. If you don't want them I am going to put them on Ebay.
How do I tell what Gear Ratio I have? I have seen some listed as 6-1 and 8-1... |
