Default My Golf Cart suxs! Traction anyway....

WEll, we had a nice 3-4 snow this week so I thought I would get the Cart out and tool around. Big mistake. It didn't get any traction with its 1 wheel drive, so I got it going backwards down a hill a bit, and wheels turned and yet no turning either. Call my nieghbor, he pulled me back to the top of the hill with his 4-wheeler, try driving around on the flat (semi flat) and just no steering no matter which way I was trying to go. I just about set it on fire and burned it where it was.

I could do 5 times as much with my 4 wheeler in 2 wheel drive. In fact, i kept in the same garage that I couldn't get 5 feet from.

Now that I have vented - can something be done to at least make this limited slip, or welded?

A lot has to do with your tires. You can also check our sponsors for a the limited slip conversion.

Even if you get traction you may run into my problem.
With a non lifted cart it slides up on top and you hang
there all 4 tires off the ground.
Maybe the snow doesn't drift as deep in Kentucky.

You can tell by this picture how much its lifted and the tread of my tires - should have been no problem.

Plowman's has a posi kit for your cart.

Not sure what you can do about the front of the cart going straight while turning , I have them do that to me on gravel.

I used a stock Tomberlin a few years ago and pulled a sled thru 3-4 inches of snow with little trouble.
