You'll probably have to swap out the rear end with a G2. Only way I know.

You need to go with taller tires because your swingarm will still drag

You have to lift it higher to accommodate bigger tires.. like rkuchmak said the swingarm is the problem with G1's and the only way to fix it is bigger tires..

Think of it like a truck...The higher the lift the bigger the tire..You can only go so big on tires till they rub if that's not big enough you have to lift it higher to accommodate bigger tires...That's THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT..

Unfortunately the G1 isn't really supported with aftermarket lift kits, except for the standard 6" jakes type kit, so it's up to us to fabricate something.

Pachanga does a nice homebuilt lift here. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...anga-lift.html

On mine I used an atv front end and made a bracket for some atv shocks in the back for a total of 10" of lift. Here's my thread
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...ting-cart.html

Feel free to post any questions and we'll all try to help out. There really isn't any "wrong" thing to do, as long as it's safe and it serves your purpose.

Also, use the search function and you'll find tons of fabbed lifts for you to look over and form a plan.
