Default G22 Governor?

Hi there guys, I have a guy here who doesnt want the full governor mod but just speed it up a little, I have a feeling it will be back for the mod. Just cranking the 10mm locknut on the rod all the way until out of threads is about as good as it gets with having the governor still hooked up right? Hurting anything doing this? After doing this do I need to adjust the throttle cable from governor to the carb to remove play? Thanks Shad

Hi I have a Yamaha g16 I did the adjustment to the 10 mm nut and also ordered the speed spring from cart part plus and I changed the oil to 10 w 30 synthetic it should not hurt the motor just change oil.

Cool, I was just making sure that tightening the nut all the way doesnt do more harm than good thats all. I did lots of slack in the cable to the carb after and took that out. Does that sound right? Shad

That sounds right I make sure the carb opens all the way if not adjust cable from Governor. I have a lift kit and 22s on it and I do 40 km

Leave alittle slack in cable #1 and #2. Don't want the throttle shaft moving before the ignition fires off or you'll have backfiring.
