13 oz to 5 gals. would be roughly 50:1, or usually 2.6 oz/gal. that's quite rich unless your breaking in a new cylinder, which my yamaha mechanic said they recommend 25:/1 for the first few gals, Then yamaha wants 100:/1.

1 1/2 oz of yamalube to 1 gallon gas seems to work pretty good.

I mix at 80:1 and it seems like a good mix. Doesn't smoke. 8 oz to 5 gal. Here's the calculator that I use... So for 1 gal it would be 1.6 oz of oil.

I told him I started my engine with 50/1 saw gas because of new ring and piston and he said to add more oil for break-in 25/1. I then went 85/1 and it still smokes a little. But that may be the havoline oil I used. I'll run this tank down and switch to yama lube and go 100/1. If it burns up, which I doubt, he'll rebuild it.

Its wont smoke with yamalube, belray isnt bad either. i didnt like 100:1 i know yami say 100:1 but its light. try 1 1/2 oz oil to 1 gal gas first, check your plug then if you feel its rich which it wont be go to 100:1. I have not fouled a plug in a year 1 1/2 oz. i guess its somplace about 75:1.

100:1 does seem light, but with the oil injection it's 150:1 to 300:1, man that seems real light I guess it doesn't really need much.

Yeah I think if you run it hard, work it alot or rev it up you'd be better with a little more oil.

Remember this: the more oil you put in, the less fuel there is (and vice versa)
the less fuel there is, the less power there will be....just a thought
