There are some bad springs on ebay too, make sure its a good one before you buy. Smallblock named the best ones.

If you are still around Smallblock450sl, you happen to know if the Umax spring is the same/similar to the older concierge/limo spring that is supposed to be stiffer?

Funny you ask, just the other day I went to order a couple more and found the concierge spring was the same as a stock car, but the umax is deffintly longer and stronger part#90508-45849-00.

I have a CPP spring in my 97 G16 and it really perked my cart up. Pulls really hard!! Worked fine all last summer, no issues. I also put new ramp shoes and a spacer in at the same time. RAY

Thanks a bunch, pretty sure I will be trying one. Not really wanting the giant spring in there or the fun of installing it. Long ago someone told me what spring it was (so they said), if I saved it I would have to dig a while to find it when I have time.

Tried to buy this spring but TNT's site is a mess and wont let me. Imagine a web store site that will not sell stuff. He said he is working on it, he did email me. Hard to find that spring online for some reason.

I got the spring its 5 3/8 long without the nubs, didn't have anything handy to check diameter but looks a little heavier. Hope to get it in soon.

Ordered from TNT via phone, along with a new spring seat and nut (all yamaha parts).

Don't know what happened on your order, but the Umax spring does have the "tangs" for setting the preload (a/b/c-1/2/3/4) on the spring seat and sliding sheaves.
