Belts
Dayco puts out a line of HP belts. There is several sizes and a few that match the Yami's drive size or very close to it. The ones that you want have a 1.188 width that equates to 1 3/16. One may or may not work for you but the reason I posted it, is they can be got at autozone for 29.99 no shipping. Prob they will order it but it comes next day.
They will also have the starter belts in cogg, 4 - 8 bucks depends some more popular ones are cheaper but they will have it. Just either know the size or bring the belt. Just looking to save you all a buck. |

Re: Belts
Have you ever used any of these? Just wondering how they would compare to a factory belt. That would be very convenient if these were as good as the factory belts.

Re: Belts
Ya, I put a drive belt on the G14/16 cart and it seems fine, there is a size that will fit the G1. I cant say anything about the test of time but my guess is there fine. There made for harder running things then golf carts. I believe they have a even a more tougher line but not sure of the sizes, I went right for the HP line. The cogg belts for the starter I am sure will be fine I installed a new one on my G1 and one on the other cart. The cogg belt width is not 1/2", the right size is 7/16". The G1 stater belt was 4 bucks and the G14/16 was 6.99 cause it was less popular. Coggs grip much better.

Re: Belts
The starter belts I'm sure would be fine. Heck most of the time I just take my old one down to the auto parts store and match it up unless I can find and old auto belt I've kept from the past.
I'm interested in the drive belts. If you have the numbers for the drive belts, let us know. |

Re: Belts
Here is a link to the sizes but you need to make sure what your cart takes I really dont know those. I am pretty sure the G1 belt will be a HP2008 or HP2016 there about the same slight differnce in legnth. Just note the width to be sure your getting 1.188 or 1.187 basically 1 3/16" http://www.daycoproducts.com/daycowe...Dimensions.pdf

Re: Belts
Have you tryed the dayco belts? Dayco makes most the belts out there, They make the belts for ezgo, its stamped right on the belt. What would make a plowman belt better? Just curious because there cogg belts in 1 3/16" if you want a little wider one if you think its better performance Dayco has them also. For 29.99 or less and no shipping ill let you know when one weres out...hhheehe sorry but i think the dayco belts designed for snowmobiles and atv can pull a little golf cart. JMO. I know where my belts will be coming from.

Re: Belts
ok then the dayco option is for people who would like a lower priced inferior belt hahaha. chat boards shouldnt allow companys pushing there stuff. dont you think its funny they disquize the real numbers and put there own. Like for instance front wheel bearing... they got the magic bearings at 18 bucks apiece plus shipping but heck you can buy the same bearing for about 2.50. look into these numbers just for kicks 6005rs,6004rs,6203rs to name a few. Perhaps the pushers should make there own thread like the best belts to buy instead of slandering my thread knocking a belt they never even tryed. I gave people a option who need a belt and dont want to pay 50 bucks for magic belts, let alone Dayco probly made the belt there pushing. The proper fitting dayco belt for your cart can be bought convieniently at your local autozone or advaced at a nice price with no shipping charge. oh ya there is a year guarentee any reason bring it back and they will replace it for 1 year.
