Default G22 radio install

Started my radio install. Put it in the left compartment. Bult a stainless insert for it. Have it all wired and waiting for my speakers to get here.... Are you guys hooking the memory wire direct to the battery or are you keeping it keyed? If so have you noticed any battery drain??

I installed my kenwood directly to the auxillary battery , fused of course. The memory wire draws minimal amperage when receiver is off. I believe is like in the thousandths of an amp. No fear in it draining the battery.

I have the same radio - no noticeable drain on the battery for stereo memory. I wired my on/off power through a switch on the dash, so as you run down the road, you hit the switch, and the stereo goes right back to how you had it set when you last hit the switch. Works well this way!
