G1 clutch spring
I was wondering what would be the best spring to use in my secondary clutch, not interested in speed as my cart will stay stock for now. I heard of a couple of different types but I am probably trying to get more torque than speed any advise would be great. Thanks guys.

Re: G1 clutch spring
I found a 3/8" spacer behind the spring made a big improvement. From what I have read most of the aftermarket springs are to stiff for the G1 and cause the clutch to not upshift.
A 1/4 spacer may even be all you want as well. There is a grease fitting for the secondary moving sheave, make sure it has some lube in it so things are not sticking. |

Re: G1 clutch spring
Thanks Charlie I will try a 3/8 spacer behind the spring on the secondary clutch. You have to admit this is a great site BGW

Re: G1 clutch spring
I used Plowman's red spring. Don't get the white spring, I tried it, too stiff, works terrible. I am very happy with the red spring.
