Default g1 flooding ?

Hey guys
I have a 88 g1 and my problem is its getting too much fuel?
I have been messing with it for two days and im to the point of sending it down the road
Problem is the cart is running rough and soaking the plug with fuel i can put the cart on jack stands and hold it wide open and it seem to be running about 60% power/rpms
If i pinch the fuel line closed a few seconds later it clears right up and rev to the moon?
Compression is 125psi wot i have cleaned and inspected the carb and set the float
Also i pulled the pulser line off of the fuel pump and checked for fuel and nothing came out
Wasnt able to suck through the pulser line so im guessing the diagfram is good?
If anyone has any thoughts im all ears
Thanks guys

Have you checked to make sure the needle/seat is working correctly and shutting off the fuel when the float is lifted?

Did this just start happening? Was it running good prior to this?

Its ran great for the last four years i did a rebuild on it and crank seals last season just to be on the safe side but this problem just started one day at the track a couple weeks ago
On top of everything i have checked and tested i also bbq the exhaust last weekend thinking that could have been the problem but it didnt fix it

Have you checked to make sure the reeds are closing completely.
4 main things will make it flood.

1. Reeds not closing completely
2. Needle/seat not working correctly
3. Main jet too big/missing
4. Choke not working correctly

Don't assume because the choke lever is in the right position that the choke plate is positioned correctly.

Never even thought about the reeds? And havnt even looked at them
The only two jets i seen on the carb were the one just under the air fuel screw and the big long jet thats in the bowl in the center of the flote? And took both of the out and cleaned them
Choke is working fine

Yes. If the reeds don't close all the way, fuel will continue to flow. I would expect other symptoms though. Possibly fuel being pushed back through the carb, and a slightly lower compression.
