Default newbie with a g1

Hi everyone I just recently got a g1 not sure what year but is a decent looking cart for its age try to put some pics later as I go on this. it wasn't pumping fuel I ordered a new fuel pump and it acts like its getting to much air if I block of air flow it will start to run but after ten or 15 seconds it will die has decent compression and spark . new to these golf carts also looks like it might need a new bearing it is dripping oil from the passenger side looks like a main bearing behind the cooling fan. any help would be appreciated.whats the best place for parts a g1. and is there any one who has replaced that main bearing seal got any pointers or suggestions. thank you n advanced

Welcome to BGW! With 2 cycles, you need ring compression and crankcase pressure. The sighn of leaking oil tells me your crank seal is bad on the fly wheel side for shure and you should change them both. Your fuel pum runs off crankcase pressure, so that's most likley your problem. Site sponsors here can help with parts you need, or your local Yamaha golf car dealer can get you very high quality OEM parts at a little higher price. You can do a "search" in this section like "g1 crank seal replacement". Many have detailed pix's. Have fun with your new toy
