Continous Running
Just wonder if you guys can answer a question for me. I have a G9(stock) which has only been used as a golf cart...lots of stop and go. Are these machines able to stand continuous running for more than a few minutes at a time or are they really only meant for stop and go?
Would appreciate your thoughts as I would like to put it to more than just golf cart use if they will take it. Web |

Re: Continous Running
I use mine as a hunting buggy, traveling through the woods, drive my grandkids all over the property and when my granddaughter is with me it's pretty much steady riding for an hour or more so I would say yes they can handle it.
Mine is pretty much stock except for the homemade 5inch lift and bigger tires. |

Re: Continous Running
I lifted my G9 in '99 and put 22s on it, took the governor off, put a dump box on it. For years I ran up to 6 hours a day on weekends on trails, in the summer. After about 10yr of that it started to lose power and act strange on hot days or when run hard. I topped it out at 28-30mph gps every day I rode it, but never went far tapped out, that is around 5K rpm. It was all stock except I messed with the clutch so it towed better and took off the airbox silencer and jetted it richer. I ran synthetic oil. It started smoking year before last just a little wiff, last year I put a clone engine in it. Not rode trails much for about 4yr with it, at least not more than say half hour away from camp. But I plan to at some point after I fix a few more things like the worn out clutches. I bought it as a golf course trade in, it is a 92 I think. Do a lot of yard work and local visiting with it also, kid rides, etc.

Re: Continous Running
I have run an 82 G2 for like 20 miles one time. I was invited to play in a golf course some 20 miles away and this was even in the mountains. I had no problem.
