Default g16 drives bad

I have a g16 with a 4in lift and 22in tires. It drives bad at higher speeds. It wants to jerk to left or right. Will new front shocks help it?

You might want to check the toe/in first I believe it is 1/16 or 1/8 towed in. It also could be something loose in the front end.

I have set toe to 0 and 1/16 to 1/8 front end has no play in it.I put grease in steering box to. Still drives the same. And put 2in wheel spacers.

If you can post some pictures of the front end it might help.

Usually toe in makes the cart sensitive and will dart left/right at speed. Toe out will wander left/right and steering response will be kind of numb. I keep my toe in out just a little so it is pretty calm at speed, though I don't run pavement very often it still acts that way on dirt roads. Loose parts can make them wander/dart as said, sometimes you can slide across the seat and tell if the cart turns a little to find your toe. The weighted side will control more.

Another issue is articulating rear cradles on newer yamaha, like other carts the articulating 3 point rear will lean much more in corners at speed and can feel hairy at times. Pachanga made a sway bar for his said it helped.

Wheel spacers on the front can change steering geometry and cause issues.

I'm doing a video, hopefully tomorrow to show the differences with and without the sway-bar.Everyone that drove the cart previously noticed the difference in handling immediately.

Yes I put the wheel spacers on front and rear ,to see if it would help it put it drove about the way before no spacers. Yes it is very sensitive at higher speeds. Do you thinks new shocks would help?

I would look at the toe setting with weight on the cart.It may need to be set.If the shocks/coils are weak,it will squat more than originally built and change the alignment more as well.
