G1 oil pump
Im going to take the oil injecter hose off the carb on my g1 and cap it, just going to premix in can, should it be ok to leave the oil pump on the engine? Without no 2 cycle going to it? Thanks

Re: G1 oil pump
I think the pump will fail in time running dry. I took the plastic oil pump gear out but you need to remove the primary clutch and gear cover to do that. Another option I thought about was plugging the oil line opening at the carb and extending the oil line back into the oil tank so it can just circulate, then it is there if you ever want to go back to injection.
