Mp3 kit goes out
I just installed of these (
Amazon.com: Pyle PLMRKT2A 2-Channel Waterproof MP3/iPod Amplified 6.5-Inch Marine Speaker System: Car Electronics
) into my 2007 yamaha drive.Problem is that it will only play for about 3 minutes and then go out. No sound at all. Next day, same problem. It will play longer if the cart is not in motion, but once I go to play golf, it will only last a couple minutes. Any ideas? |

Are you using a voltage convertor?

No. It's a gas cart, and the amp is connected directly to the only battery in the cart. Didn't think I'd need a converter.

No, you dont need one. I didn't realize where I was at. I'd check the voltage on the battery when it dies and go from there. Although, it doesn't sound like a cart problem....more of an amp problem.

Re: Mp3 kit goes out
Sounding like the amp is overheating to me as well, most amps have a thermal protection shutdown built in. You only have the 2 speakers hooked to it?
