Default Where to find ID Tag or numbers

YAMAHA GAS...Hey Gang, My boss just brought me this today and said, "Get it running"
Where would I find some kind of tag or id numbers, year model, that kind of thing. It is our first yamaha gas cart.

Your the lucky owner of a G3-A. The serial # should be on the rear frame member (rectangular tube) where the original rear bumper would have been attatched. Good luck on finding any body parts/lites/lenses...at least you can still get engine and drive train parts....There the same a a G1-A. I'd get it running...chop the top.....do some body mod's and you have a one of a kind car. Later Dave

Hey Dave, Thanks for the response. I'll look and see what I can find. Most of that area is RUST but we'll see. So any idea what year the cart was built?

I figure it's an 86 or 87 model. I think they only built them for a couple of years.
