Default Finally found one...

I'm knocking around the Rio Grande Valley this week on business so when I'm not engrossed in the world of high finance or chasing the senoritas of course I'm checking the local Craigslist for golf carts. I see an add for the local Yamaha dealer with some unbelievable low electric prices (of course I'm looking for a gas cart) so I stop by this morning. Nope, nothing in gas, wish they could get more in blah blah blah..... So I dejectedly head out the door when I see this sad old cart on the side, and turn back around to ask about it. Turns out they forgot (?) they had it and a short time later I'm the proud new owner. Suffice it to say I didn't have any problem with maxing my ATM limit for the cash. So......I'm 350 miles from home, got a meeting 50 miles away at noon and ain't gonna pack that thing back to the casa in the back of my Trail Blazer. Stop by Tractor Supply to look at their trailer inventory, not too bad but run across a little trailer dealer down the road. They have a new (last year's model) ATV trailer on the lot, factory camo down to the spare tire, LED lights, plus a rear and a side fold gate. My dream trailer! This savvy gringo makes the deal, head off to my meeting and pick up the trailer and the cart on the way back, and hopefully it's still all there in the hotel parking lot in the morning.......

The plan is to swap the rear ends with the G9 so I can install the disc brake kit that's been gathering dust in my garage, order a limited slip for Plowman's for it too then upgrade and sell the G16 so the wife doesn't get to collect on my life insurance after she kills me for buying all this s**t.......

The G16 actually starts and runs but looks like a mosquito fogger from East Texas going down the road and barely had the power to get up the ramp, so a top end rebuild will be in order. There's a pretty good little dent in the cowl right on the Yamaha logo which I think I can patch and then put a brush guard and lights over it to hide my body work, and maybe wrap. Yea that's it, a wrap... The rest of the body is not too bad, so tires and wheels, maybe some seat covers, back seat or cargo bed, should be good to go. Anyway, here's some pics. I'll update this as we go along but anyone who knows me, don't hold your breath.

P.S. The tops in the truck, got a long way to go tomorrow....

Thanks Mike! Deep down I think I'm more excited about the trailer than the cart.....the trailer doesn't doesn't need any work.

That's the plan right now. I've been looking for a differential for the G9 for years, so this will be the "donor" cart. Guess the locker will have to come back out of the niner to put back in the G16..... Dave, want it back?????

I wish I could work that! I don't think I'll get the mileage I normally do. I can feel that trailer back there with the V6 Trail Blazer.....
Tracks just fine at 70mph though.

Good for you I didn't remember you saying you installed the "locker", might put it up for sale.

That's a nice find on the cart and a great looking trailer6x12? I'm still looking for a non-running 16 to put my old engine into...
