Default Adding a Tach to a G16

Hi guys...I searched but did not find this question answered.

I got an Equus tach with the inductive pickup. The spark plug lead is pretty short, and I'm not sure that the inductive pickup will fill under the aircleaner...or even on the wire since it's so short.

Do I need to get some sort of "extension" for the spark plug wire...or...?

Thanks!

I tried to put it on the steering column but couldn't see it very well. This worked out perfect.
