Engine size in G(?
I am away from the house and am looking for some info.
i have an opportunity to buy a 215 cc motor for Yamaha. I have a mid 90's ( can't remember the exact year) . Will the 215 cc motor fit in the G9? thanks for your replies, i may have to act quick the price is right $300 and i want to snatch it up if i can make it work. "I can't type very well with a beer in my hand"
LOL I wish I could blame my bad typing on that! Maybe frostbite from holding ten or twelve really cold beers would be a good excuse. of course after that many beers who cares |

Re: Engine size in G(?
I should rephrase, it will fit but it’s not the right engine.

Re: Engine size in G(?
any idea how many modifications i would have to do to make it fit. the engine in G9 is locked up, i haven't had time to look inside and see how bad it is. I am thinking i will have $300-$500 in a rebuild? whats the major difference between the original engine and the 215cc?
thanks for the reply. |

Re: Engine size in G(?
215cc is a 2 stroke, 285cc is a 4 stroke. You don't want to do that.
