G22a Primary Clutch question
I just bought a 2003 G22. I'm a little concerned about the primary clutch. the clutch cover is loose and the outer sheave has a little play in it. How much play do these normally have? Don't really want to tackle rebuilding this thing, never really messed with one. Any help would be appreciated.

I pulled my 22 clutch and sent it to Plowmans because I knew they would do a better and faster job than me. Money well spent |

Re: G22a Primary Clutch question
I'm leaning that way too. Took the cover off, all the rollers have flat spots. Having trouble getting the bolt loose to remove the clutch. Any tips?

Re: G22a Primary Clutch question
Old plumbers trick, tighten first than take apart.
Works on bolts too. |

Re: G22a Primary Clutch question
I went ahead and bought both clutch pullers before I started--again, for me, money well spent. I used an impact to remove the bolt.

Re: G22a Primary Clutch question
What happens if you have a very worn sliding sheave face? Can/will Plowmans fix that? Just a question, 150.00 seems like a great price for the rebuild he has listed

Re: G22a Primary Clutch question
They told me if it needed anything more than the normal rebuild, they would contact me. I thought the price was good, too. (plus shipping both ways)

Re: G22a Primary Clutch question
Impact does wonders. Got the bolt off and didnt need the puller, the clutch popped off when i took the starter belt off. Sending it off to plowmans. Do any of you have the Performance kit form Plowmans?
