Default What to expect out of G16

Hello all,

This is my first post on this site. I am looking to get some questions answered. If anyone could help me out that would be great.

1. I have a white rear clutch spring is that upgraded or is that stock?

2. I am getting about 23 mph out of stock motor is that about it?

3. How can i tell how many HP my motor is?

4. What is the standard ring size on a stock motor?

Thank you all for you help with this...

I am trying to figure out a problem. I just bought that cart and it runs great until i climb the paved road to my house then it dies down to about 5-8 mph... I was hoping that i could put the white power spring in the clutch to help me out but it already has one in it. I do know it needs new rings as it is smoking a little. I would like to bypass the governer but my wife has a lead foot and would probably blow it up i am sure.Any other suggestions or does that motor just have no torque? That is my dilemma. Here is another pic.

do a compression check on the motor, that will tell u if it needs a rebuild.....the clutch spring is most likely already upgraded...put a tach on the cart and monitor the RPM's and bypass the gov....

Would the lack of compression give me significant power loss under load of going up hill?
