More compression from g1?
I have a g1, not sure what year but ive had a few people tell me that they have heard of others changing the head gasket to an older bravo motor head gasket to get more compression and more power! Has anyone else come across this? Does it work? What year bravo motor head gasket? Will i need a shorter spark plug? If so what plug?

Re: More compression from g1?
I don't think just changing the head gasket is going to yield any noticeable power gain. These engines just weren't made for making power or going fast. You could do the following to gain more power and performance:
1. Mill the head 2. Port and polish intake and exhaust ports 3. Change carb to mx or atv style, 32mm Mikuni 4. Open element air filter, Uni style 5. Fresh top end kit 6. New crank seals If you do this, your cart will run excellent and rev up to 6k, and will do over 30 mph without any trouble. And by the way, the Bravo is a totally different engine. The Enticer 250 is the "sister" engine to the G1. |
