Default G9 - Time for Barter Faire!

Time for my annual trek up into the hills (about 4000' altitude) for our giant flea-market/yard sale/rock festival we call Barter Faire (or Okanogan County Family Faire)! It's our 40th Festival so we're expecting a pretty good turn-out.
I spent the past 2 Saturdays up there getting things ready --- hauling straw on the trailer behind my G9, picking up piles of weeds and trucking them off to a gully for burning this winter, Moving piles of signs ("No Fires beyond this point", "Caution: People Crossing", "Clean up after yourselves", "Be Respectful", etc etc) from storage to places they were needed. Also gave rides to people who needed to go from one place to another ... the Festival grounds cover several hundred acres about 1.3 miles by .75 miles.
Moving up Tuesday for the Fest which officially opens on Friday. I'll be back into such civilization as we can find around here on Sunday night! In the mean time I'll be running my TAXI & Hauling service with one G9 while loaning another to the First Aid Station. I'll also be working Security as I make my service rounds.
In addition, my Bluz Band will be featured on the Main Stage on Friday afternoon from 3:00 - 4:00! Fun will run about 20 hours a day --- and I'll be right in the middle of most of it!

Oh, it's tremendous fun! And helping "mobility impaired" people get around is both interesting and a good service. People who have trouble walking is my first priority -- and they ride free. Those who are just looking for a way to avoid walking are expected to donate something for the ride ... I suggest $3.50 per ride - and people are usually happy to pay that. If they buy something that is too big or awkward to carry conveniently I ask for a bit more $$$ ... and to take it all the way out to the parking lot I try to get $5.00 or so since it is about 1/4 - 1/3 mile out.
In past years I've towed a yard cart behind my buggy for larger items, but last spring I got a good deal on one of those 4'x8' trailers from Harbor Freight - the ones with street legal 13" tires. Got it (used) for $80! Now I haul one buggy in the bed of my pick-up and one on the little trailer - and when I unload the trailer I hitch it up behind my golf cart! Works a treat!
