Yamaha gas Motor Needed
I just recently aquired an old yamaha gas cart frame/rolling chassis. I am in need of a motor and am going to make this a bike rally cruiser so I am going to need either a really cool body or a really cheap one that I can wrap/customize.
I will get the serial # and post it or figure out the year model so we will know what motor I need, unless there is an aftermarket replacement that is inexpensive and works pretty much universally on Yamahas. Thx in advance.. |

Couldn't find a serial # but I didn't want to drag it out of the weeds and look under it. If the pics aren't enough info I can pull it out.

I dont know what to tell you about this. You can find the serial number on the back cross member. it will be stamped into the metal. its not easy to find on a G1. Good luck on this cart.

LOL, don't worry, I know it looks like a P.O.S. but with a little TLC, a roll bar, new body, wheels and tires and new motor it will be a cool little cruiser.

Re: Yamaha gas Motor Needed
It is a G1 that came with a 2 stroke motor and the trans axle has no reverse.

Also, good luck finding a decent body. That model started in the late 70s, its old (but still my favorite).
