Default Performance comming soon for the 2012.5-2014 drive carts.

Had a long talk with don today on the phone at plowmans. He has been extremely busy working on projects, customer carts, and answering countless amounts on phone calls daily. He is running behind on getting a performnace setup ready for the new style clutches that are now on the g29 carts whether be carb or fuel injection. He is in the testing stages right now with different setups with regular or oversize tires lifted. He even is working on some tuners for the fuel injection carts to have different fuel curves for when the governor is bypassed. His goal is to have something available by the end of the year. I could tell that he is really excited about the gains that his testing is doing for the newer g29 clutches.

He also told me that for the owners of the g29 years 07-2011 that his extreme clutch kit is incredible. Says it will pull a tire off the ground and while pulling a truck will smoke the tires. He will have a video up soon on his site. Keep in mind he is crazy busy and doing his best to bring new products to the market for us. Ill keep you guys posted soon as i hear something from him.

Yes it will, but might as well update the secondary also...and the belt too.

Im sure its possible but havent looked at a fiche schematic to see how the input shafts look. He says we will all be in shock and awe when we see yhe video of what his extreme performance kit will do for the 2007-2011 g29 carts.

All "Team" transaxles have the same input shaft and all Yamaha engines from G16 thru G29 (the drive) use the same crank. Yamaha doesn't even offer "Team" style clutch's any more, you must replace with the new versions.

Sounds like yamaha had too many complaints of the poor clutch setup and redesigned the clutches for better performance and life.

It IS still hitting the governor. Try taking the drive belt off, and ,Once, run it at full throttle to verify this, it should behave totally different when its hitting the rev limiter in the Fi PCM. The ziptie method does not disable the governor, it only adjusts it to "max", while still protecting motor.

Did that already this past spring. Brand new secondary (worked over by Plowman's) and new belt. Primary seems to work ok for now, but the new design clutch might be a better alternative to just rebuilding the original Team clutch.
