Default g22 clutch issues

I have a 2005 g22 with lift and 23" tires. The 2 speed clutch seems to be stuck in the highest speed. Sometimes it will down shift and act normal but most times it is stuck in the highest speed. Any ideas what would be causing this? Broke spring? need more grease inside so it will slide back and forth?

Take the cover off the front clutch and see the carnage. Probably gonna find rollers with flat spots, torn up weights, and hosed bushings. If you take the drive belt off, the front clutch should slide in and out smoothly and easily.

What are my options? Rebuild or buy new one?

My g22 just had the same problem and it is true it had flat spot n the rollers (3) and the arms would get stuck. I replaced mine with a set of stainless steel ones off ebay because the factory ones are plastic with steel rap and it took care of the problem. its about a 45 min fix and 80 dollars with the clutch removal tool.

Thanks guys for the help. All it needed was a little grease. Works like a champ!

If you have flat spots on the rollers, it Will do it again (at the worst possible time).
