What is the jet on the outside of the carb. actually used for ? I unscrewed it off the carb and there is not a hole through it.Is it plugged with dirt or is there not suppose to be a hole through it ? I think it is something like a #45 if I remember correctly. If this is not suppose to have a hole though it, how does it actually work ? Sorry, Just used to other carbs that have all the jets inside the carb. Thanks, Raz

Newbies guess is, it is a air jet for the idle, midrange. But I am new to carts. Good luck.

Actually..your right. It's the "pilot" jet. It's for idle and mid range or high altitude jetting adjustments. No there should not be a hole thru the top down, only the jet holes at the bottom of it that are inside the carb housing.
