Default Yamaha G16 Pics

Hey guys...I know you all like pics.

Over the winter, I pulled the suspension out and freshened it up. I got some new G22 rocker covers, bumpers and rear wheel houses. (I was amazed how inexpensive they were through Amazon)

I also got a set of new take off wheels, painted them with Krylon's metallic silver, added some cheap center caps and lug nuts.

The body from my G16 came back from the body shop today. Viper GTS blue was the color chosen, and in the end, we matched the roof to the body.

So..we're getting there....thanks for the advice guys!

Mike Mac...it's been a blast! I've restored several cars to national award winners...but I've enjoyed this very much. In fact, last night I wanted to get the body parts on so that they wouldn't get damaged...and just wanted to get far enough to put the seat bottom on so I could move it around. There are still some parts I want to paint before they go back on....

OK guys...a couple more pics from the summer. I did a carpet install, fancy dash, tach, volt gauge, fuel gauge...hour meter. Added toggle switches for headlights. Jakes' shifter.

Outside...I made up my own set of LED backup lights and a headlight kit.

Once I get more together...I'll update the pics.

Today was a good day, got the G16 back together....well, almost. I'm so glad I chose the Viper GTS blue. One thing we did a bit different was to paint the access panel to match the body.

The bagwell liner is pretty beat...so I may have to get a new one. I tried to dye it and paint it...but it's just so hammered that it looks terrible. I also want to re-do the seat in black. (The original is torn, stained)

So...here she is! I think she came out great!
