No spark G2
Hello everyone this is my first post.Overhauled my old G2 ran good no compression was the reason for the overhaul. Now that its back together no spark, have checked coil, pick up,OK acording to specks, replaced coil just to see if that was it,Still no spark.I have 12v on both sides of the coil, there is a ground wire that bolts to the mounting screw on the coil that goes to the coil connector and stops cant see that is does anything,Have checked all wires connectors all seem to be OK any help would be great. Also i look at the post of Santa that had the battery on wrong that is not it.Thanks DOT442

Re: No spark G2
I would if I knew but spark is about the only problem that I have not had on my G2. Might check to make sure that you are getting voltage to the ignitor box. It is the one mounted on the gas tank near the fuel pump.

Re: No spark G2
Yes geting fire to ignitor, going to try a friend ignitor on today got to be it, or pick up, or a wire bad but i have checked and double checked the wires. Could be something simple as it all turnes out to be most of the time.Checking the wire to the coil only one is hot before you plug it in after you plug the hot one in both are hot is that normal? Thanks Larry

Re: No spark G2
Hu Ra Found the problem, I had the coil hooked to the reverse buzzer switck iguess the switch at the cables under the seat, the connector is the same, this could not have happen it all body parts were on the cart, but they were all off as i am painting the cart . Still having a little runing problem you have to have the choke on a little for it to run good air box is sealed good, no vaccum leaks.I think a new plug may help ,are may have to clean the carb. Is there a way to let the engine idle when stop, uther than a different clutch. Thanks dot442
