Default 1981 G1 gov. bypass ?

Im a new golf cart owner , got this G1 on a trade , decided to hop it up a bit. Ive lifted it 6" and widened it 4" , 22" tires . rebuilt the top end of the motor .... repacked the muffler , took out the butterfly on the exhaust port. I want to eliminate the govenor all togather , any help would be great ! None of the posts ive seen so far cover this on the G1 ? ALSO.... with what ive done thus far , when I start the cart , it will not idle ? the motor revs really far , the only way to slow it down is by closing the butterfly on the carb ?

thanks for the link ! just curious , the butterfly at the back of the carb is the choke ? The butterfly on the front is the throttle ? it was linked with the butterfly on the exhaust , I was thinking the front butterfly on the carb was part of the gov. After looking at the pics in the link I dont think so.

The choke is toward the air filter side, the front side of the carb, but toward the back of the cart.
