Default G9 not turning over/starting

When I press the gas pedal nothing happens or maybe it turns over once or twice but very weak then I hear a static/electric spark? coming from somewhere on the motor. I Can not see where it is coming from. My battery is fully charged and only about 2 years old. I keep it on a battery tender often. Help!

First, check voltage at battery while "cranking", then check voltage at starter (the 2 wires that leave starter). May be bad battery, maybe bad brushes on starter motor.

Charge it or jump it and see, yamaha are notorious for wire connection problems! But they are cheap/easy to fix. I ran my cart on batteries that went dead in vehicles in the winter for maybe 10 years. I got about 3-4 years out of them after they died in a vehicle, from a company truck. Cart needs very little power from a car battery.

Had the battery checked out. They said it had a bad cell. They prorated it and I bought a new battery. Everything is working get now! Hopefully that all that it needed.
