Default 99 G16 and large purchase from CPP!

Well, I bought a cart and I knew it had clutch issues. The motor looked brand new, so I was hoping the clutch exploded and someone just parked it for a few years. I had starter problems and it's getting rebuilt right now. What I didn't know when I bought the cart was that the REASON the clutch exploded is because the input shaft broke off and allowed the sheave to hit the clutch and also ruin it (I'm assuming...)

So I told myself that I would wait until the starter was fixed, get it running and then do a compression check, but I lost control................Here's what I have coming:

Input Shaft Repair Kit
Yamaha Performance Clutch
Power Package
Fixed Sheave
New Helix
Clutch Puller
Starter Belt
Fuel Line Kit
And a long list of other little things

If the compression checks out good and she runs good, I see a long travel lift, tires and wheels, and a lime green paint job! If not, then I see a clone or a big block, I'm not sure what I'm hoping for at this point!

I've taken lots of pictures and plan to take more during each step of the build, I just need to figure out how to post them!

Hopefully nothing else is wrong in the rear end, but I do have access to one for a very cheap price if it is. All those parts were either broken or missing so either way I would have had to buy them. I just hope they get here fast, I'm getting bored!

Not new. Used these rear end/trans axles can be had for cheap if you are patient and look around. When you see one, snatch it up! That's my motto... I bought an entire cart, minus engine, for $400, and it's complete (not disassembled) and rust free. They can be found.

this sounds like it could be a cheeper way than a new input shaft. aftermarket shafts are $300 correct? & about $200 labor to put in

I didn't even think about it, but I could have probably bought that axle for a little more than the input shaft kit! Oh well, I was actually wanting to do it myself, but this is something to think about for sure in the future.
