Talking Re: Yamaha G29/YDR/Drive Club thread

Hello all! Noob here looking to purchase my first cart. I am primarily only interested in the G29 Gas model and was hoping you could tell me some things to look for when checking out a used cart.

Also - this one really caught my eye: New member so canít send link but below are pics and you can find complete listing on Chicago Craigslist

I know itís a bit pricey but other gas g29s are going for 4500 in my area and it appears that this one has the best of a lot of things I would be modding anyway...( Jax double A-arm lift, Havoc kit, LEDs, etc)

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Can't really see the add to read it. IMHO stay clear of 2007 to 2012 car's. 2012.5 and will have way better clutch's and pedal assemblies. Good luck

I just saw the picture you posted of the drain plug. Do you have a picture of the fill plug? I cannot find it anywhere on the differential. Is it on the axle casting?

Looks like the spacer, washer, bowl washer and bolt for your secondary clutch. Take a look and see if itís missing all that. The clutch can just fall off without that bolt I believe.

Are you able to show me a picture of where exactly?

Think i found it. So is it safe to assume spacer first, bowl washer with raised side going in towards spacer, washer, then bolt?

Has anyone had issues with lean to the driver’s side?
Does replacing the springs help?
I have a 2010 that my wife bought. I’m guessing they just added the rear seat, leaving the stock rear springs. Would HD springs help?
Thanks dudes!
