Talking Electrical Goodies Install

My 1989 yammy G2 isturning out to be one of my favorite projects that I have ever done! My next step is to install all my electrical goodies(lights, stereo, 12v power source. My problem is I don't know where to wire everything. One guy on this forum uses a smaller battery tucked behind his main battery and runs everything to that one. if I do that, can I run a wire from the starter/gen. to that battery also or just wire everything straight to it and charge it every so often? or should I run everything to my mani battery? Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!

You car wire everything to the battery. Be sure to ground to the battery not the frame. You can pick up the wire off the switch to turn the radio on and off.

The wire on switch I'm not sure on G2 on G-16-22 it is brown.
Get a 12 volt test light. Connect clamp side of test light to ground post on battery ,with switch off test the wires at the back of key switch in the plug. 1 wire should be hot all the time, then test other wire(s). Find the wire that lights the test light up when you turn the key on and goes back off when key is off. Use that wire to connect to radio. I think it will be the red wire but if you get a new radio it will have directions. If I'm right the red wire from radio will go to switch wire and the yellow wire will go to battery positive , if not it will be opposite. The radio directions will say (color) wire to + that is always hot and the other will say to accessory switch that works off key switch.

The radio will be only think to hook to key switch. Lights you will have to install a switch hooked from battery to switch to lights.
