1996 Yamaha won't go
I have a 1996 yamaha that will not move. The motor is running (push the throttle and it revs up) and everything is spinning but it's like something isn't connecting with the rear end. Any ideas on where to start?

check the shift cable to make sure it is moving the shift arm on the rearend when change from forward to reverse it will start & run in neutral. cable may have broke inside or is out of adj. with the cart off put it in forward & push it is their any drag like it is in gear does the rear clutch sheves spin when pushing it?

Re: 1996 Yamaha won't go
The shift arm is moving on the rear end in both directions (full throw). Nothing on the exterior of the rear end spins while pushing the cart.

Re: 1996 Yamaha won't go
Migh check the rear axle/hub for stripped splines. This can be done by removing the "dust cap" on the hub and pushing the accelerator pedal. You'll see the nut and axle turning but not the tire.
