Most likely the "torque spring" is just too stiff.

When i have the cart jacked up. I'll rev it up and the clutch opens up but the tires will turn slow not spinning out like before. The engine will rev and rpms are up .

Yup. But how far down on the driven clutch does the belt go? Likely not far, the torque spring is probably keeping it from opening as far as it needs.

Torque spring is great for the 4 strokes. Not so good for the 2. Shim the original G1 spring. .400 shim worked good on mine.

What if I shim it using the spacer I got with the spring... ? Would that work? I need to make it up hills a lot easier when there are 2 guys 200+lbs hunting

You need to shim the spring inside of the helix. I used a piece of plastic pipe on mine.

I swear... I love this forum... you guys were right. The spring was to tuff. I used the spacer the other spring had and put the stock spring back in with positive still the thing ran great
