Default cart washing

Can't believe I'm asking this but after this week at camp I'm thinking about washing engine area of the cart and am unsure if if I should or how to do you pressure wash or just hose it off and run it to dry it off? Should I cover generator or ignitor electrics? Or just the hose it down?

I would suggest covering electronics, as well as intake (given you would remove the air box for easier access). A degreaser is pretty good, but you can also look at Simple Green. Use a low pressure stream to rinse.

I just wash the whole thing, on G2-G9 sometimes it wont run for a few minutes, on G16 and newer never had a problem. Just wash it and let it dry for a while.

As long as the engine is not hot, high pressure wash that puppie! It's part of of the "full service" when a car comes into the shop. I don't working on filthy car's Most customer's never wash there's. Belts might slip when wet, but for the elctronics, let them dry out for a while and there's no problem. gctech, man your fast

I never have any problem washing mine, i wash everything. it only gets washed when im gonna service it. It has a while to dry after that. Like smallblock said, i aint workin' in no mud pile. My cart may look fairly clean in the pic, but in real life, it only looks like that 2 or 3 times a year. It looks horrible under the seat by the time i get around to washing it.

Kinda funny story....Years ago sold a couple of light duty Umax's to a farmer, found out a cicken ranch farmer! They bring one in because the brakes and accelerator pedal doesn't work, car won't run, battery goes dead ect ect ect. Looked like the seat was eaten by the chickens too Told them they MUST pay for labor time of high pressure washing completly or I'm not touching it (don't need another tetnis shot if I get cut while working on it), they agreed. Over a hour of pressure washing on the ground and lifted on the forklift you could still find that stuff everywear Guy's take care of your car's and they'll take care of you

From time to time i take my leaf blower and blow out from under the seat when the dust starts to accumulate. Has worked well so far and havent had a need to get the water hose out for under the seat yet. Exterior is a different story though.
