Default G 16 tie rods

My g 16 has gotten pretty sloppy in the front end
tie rod ends are worn they all clunk when i grab the tire and
push and pull.
replacement ends are around 30 each
i found the assembly rod and both ends for 45.00
why is this? i don't know if either are oem? but i don't think so
has anyone found any replacement ends or made their own tie rods using parts from napa or such a store?
i was thinking about heim joints from tractor supply or ebay at 5-10 bucks each
am i beating a dead horse
should i just buy the assembles and be done
i take the wife and two kids on the cart running about 20 mph
the steering is the only thing i worry about.
please let me know what you guys have done
also does anyone know what the threads are before i take it apart
thanks
Ken

I replaced my original tie rods with non-OEM assemblies, beat them up, and they are fine.

I agree. Steering is not the place to cheap out.
