Default Yamaha g29 jurking when taking off

I have an 2007 g29 when I push down on the gas it about bucks you out of the seat. It acts like the clutch is half kicked in. I have cleaned out the puddle box and checked the cables. Any ideas on how I can have a soother take off.

Sorry to say, the "Team" clutch's were just bad. Yamaha doesn't even sell them anymore. Some go to Plowmans (a very well admired site sponsor) for clutch and other upgrades. You could buy the new style primary clutch, secondary clutch and a new belt (you would also need special bolts/washers/collars) as the new 2012.5 and up G29's have from Yamaha. Good luck on what ever you decide.

Small block beat me to it... Plowmans would be the cheapest route if your on a budget. Give them a call to answer all your questions about this upgrade

I have a used 2011 YDRA and the company I bought it from replaced the team clutch with the newer style clutch. While trying to get everything up to specs I noticed that the OEM drive belt was worn down beyond tolerances. Not knowing any better at the time I ordered an aftermarket belt on line. At first it seemed to work fine, but in a short time I noticed that the cart would hesitate and jump getting up to speed. The aftermarket belt was soft and was melting on the rear sheave and leaving staggered lines of rubber. As the belt would move down the rear sheave as the speed increased this caused the problem. I picked up a new OEM belt from a local distributor, cleaned the tracks of rubber off the rear sheave with mineral spirits and the cart runs fine now.
