Default Just wonderin ?

Don't flame me to bad .I went to hop on 2000 think it,s G-16.When I got into seat reached for key, noticed I left it on for last couple weeks. Figgured id need battery charger but I tried it and it fired right up. Question is I guess does it not hurt to leave key on? Thing has lights, turn sig. and rear lights which were off, but also has radio which althou not on, sure it has memory stuff in it. Not an electrician but if I done that in trucks they,d be dead as doornail. Thanks

Nothing is powered up when the key is on--it just prevents it from starting. If you wire in a relay for the lights so they only work when the key is on, it will eventually wear the battery down.
