Smile G1 Update From Yesterday

I stopped at Napa after work and got 2 new spark plugs( now I have a spare) and got 5.4 gal of premium gas and mixed with 7 oz of oil. I drained the gas tank and put new plug in and put in about 2 gallon of gas. She popped right off and ran good. I buttoned everything up and took her for a test run. I went west on the gravel along the field and back( about 1 mile RT) and it ran great, so I drove out to the blacktop and back (about 1 1/2 miles RT) and then went west again. When I turned around, it started sputtering. I pulled the choke out and it ran ok for a bit and then I had to choke it some more. Finally got home and pulled up to the shop and it died. I took the gas line off and tried it, no gas. Then I got a brainstorm, I put the rest of the 5 gallon can of mixed gas in it and tried it, all kinds of gas. Evidently, the fuel tube doesn't go to the bottom of the fuel tank. It started up and ran good, so I ran it another mile and no problems. BUT, Man does it smoke!! I took the muffler off and burned it out a week ago, at least I thought it did. I thought it burned out good, but evidently not, When I turned around at the blacktop, I had to sit there a little bit to see if anyone was behind me because of the smoke hanging in the air. I turned around and there was smoke hanging over the road for a quarter mile. I'm not sure how long it will take to get the oil burned out of the muffler, but in the mean time, I'm available for fogging mosquitos. Thanks for the help, Chris

Glad to see you got it going.
Run it down the road(safely) at higher rpm for about a mile or two. The smoking should be done then.

FYI... you should really add this to your other thead so people know it is complete.

Good to hear you have it up and running. Most of the smoking should go away after awhile.
